Not a spiritual “expert”
Reblogging from Wytch of the North: Spot on, Beth. I feel exactly the same way about it. I can’t solve all the problems and I don’t have all the answers. I can tell a person what intuition and the Powers they’ve chosen to work with have to say, but ultimately, all the choices and all the work is up to each one of us to do for ourselves. There’s no avoiding it. Also, I would like to remind people that if they don’t like my answers, they are more than welcome to get a second opinion. They are not welcome to harangue me until I say what they want me to say.
Most of the time when people approach me for an oracular seidhr session, it’s fairly straightforward: they want to know X, Y, and Z from God A (or from what I can see of their wyrd in general) because their signals have been getting a little scrambled, or because they are going through a quiet period spiritually and wonder if Anyone is listening, or because they want to know why Thing B keeps happening to them. They come to me because I have been blessed with a good working Godphone (for lack of a better word), and because they know I’ve had years of serious training (from the best, Odin Himself) at what I do. They’re hoping I can provide a little clarity, a few fresh insights, a different way of looking at their situation, and/or a few words of encouragement or direction from Someone who loves them. All…
