What is Star Sapphire Witchcraft?


Star Sapphire is a Wiccan tradition that began in Vancouver, BC, Canada about 25 years ago.  A group of heretic witches out of the Algard British Traditional line (which combines elements of the Alexandrian and Gardnerian traditions,) working with a family tradition out of BC’s Interior and some witches out of Sybil Leek’s Hereditary Celtic line, heavily influenced by the North American Paganism of the time and a handful of martial arts enthusiasts, consciously chose to forge a new path.  As Christopher Orapello from the Down at the Crossroads podcast put it, “a bunch of Brit Trads borrowed eclectic elements on purpose.”
